Island Poké will open two new restaurants in the capital this year, with plans for a further two more in early 2022.

The biggest poke brand in the UK will open a restaurant on Upper Street in Islington later this month followed by a site in Richmond in October.

It also has plans for two other new venues in Clapham and Notting Hill, which are set to open in early 2022, as part of its ambitions to open 23 more restaurants over the next five years, which will treble its current UK footprint.

The company also intends to open a further 42 restaurants across France and Benelux over the same period.

“We are just beginning to ease out the Pandemic which has been a hugely challenging period for the hospitality sector and these new restaurants show the growing demand for our brand offering,” says Island Poké founder James Gould-Porter.

“We’re very pleased to be expanding our brand across London and beyond. We are looking forward to bringing people a great and fresh alternative to the traditional lunch and dine-out offering, whilst exploring new opportunities to expand our growing footprint.”

The company recently signed up its first two UK franchise partners, the first opening in Camden Market in May. Discussions are under way with additional franchise partners, which Island Poké says could see a further 50 sites open across the UK.
