Upmarket Chinese restaurant group Tattu has chosen upcoming The Now Building for its first London site.

Slated for the start of 2022, the restaurant will take the group up to five locations in total joining sites in Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham and Edinburgh.

Launched in Manchester’s Spinningfields area in 2015, Tattu offers ‘contemporary cuisine inspired by traditional Chinese flavours and ingredients’ in glamorous, modern surrounds.

The London restaurant will seat 220, offering elevated dining experience with panoramic views of the capital The Now Building’s rooftop and terrace.

Designed by the London and Hong Kong-based Joyce Wang Studio, the restaurant is billed as an ‘evolution of the brand’s unique ethos’ fusing ‘beautiful, meaningful design with sensory exploration’.

Located on Denmark Street just east of Soho, Outernet’s The Now Building is a mixed use development that will feature a first-of-its-kind public atrium containing a four-storey high digital canvas.

“The vision for Outernet is to boldly embrace the creative expression of Denmark Street and its rich history of culture, art and music,” says Outernet Global group COO Richard Metcalfe.

“We wanted to provide a platform to celebrate leading independent brands that share that sense of expression and individuality. Tattu encapsulates this completely.”
