Called Roberta's, the restaurant will takeover the former Iberica site on St Vincent Street and hold more than 100 covers when it opens.
The restaurant will be open daily for lunch and dinner with a menu that features Neapolitan pizzas, pasta dishes, grill-inspired plates, and 'decadent' Italian desserts.
Interior design elements in the old Victorian bank building will include a teal and gold colour palette, marble, rich warm woods, and leather finishes.
"Roberta's Glasgow will take a fresher approach to the traditional Italian ristorantes and trattorias that can be found throughout Glasgow," says Toni Carbajosa, director at C&C Restaurant Group.
"We'll have an extensive cocktail menu, wood fired pizzas, reinvigorating pasta dishes and sharing plates, the finest seafood and shellfish plus a dedicated aperitivo bar.
"Roberta's will be lively and gallus, mixing Italian style with a strong dose of modern Glasgow attitude".
C&C's Glasgow portfolio also includes multi-faceted dining, drinking, and entertainment venue Cranside Kitchen, and Greek restaurant Halloumi.
Earlier this summer the group relaunched Finnieston-based restaurant Rioja with Catalan-born chef Miguel Angel Mayor overseeing the stoves.
Angel Mayor worked at El Bulli before attracting a Michelin star for his cooking at Sucede, in Valencia, and was brought in to spearhead a new ‘avante garde’ concept for Rioja that blends ‘fine cuisine and casual dining’.
