JKS Restaurants is to relaunch Arcade Food Theatre as Arcade Food Hall in November with nine different food brands including a standalone restaurant and two counter dining experiences.

The brands have yet to be revealed for the prominent West End venue, but JKS Restaurants - which operates numerous restaurant brands including Hoppers, Bao, Berenjak and Gymkhana - says the food offer will be diverse, including Thai curries, Indonesian street food, North Indian fast food, Spanish tapas, Middle Eastern shawarma, Japanese sushi, and American-style burgers.

It seems likely that a number of JKS Restaurants brands and chefs - the group backs some of London’s biggest cooking talents including James Knappett, Nieves Barragán Mohacho and James Lowe - will be involved in some way, but the venue will also be ‘fostering up and coming talent within the hospitality industry’.

There will be eight kitchens; an independent restaurant on the mezzanine level; and two counter dining experiences; as well as a standalone bar and outdoor dining. There will also be a daily provisions counter serving coffee, lunchtime sandwiches and pastries, and an ‘immersive’ dessert experience from 'the UK’s most exciting confectionery connoisseurs'.

JKS Restaurants says Arcade Food Hall will be the first venue to showcase its ‘philosophy of creating multiple unique brands and championing emerging food and drink talent under one roof’.

Arcade Food Hall will also showcase ‘a new style in service experience where all food and drink can be ordered direct to guests’ tables from the different kitchens. This service will also be replicated into a ‘digital food hall’, where customers can choose dishes from the different Arcade Food Hall kitchens to collect in one order.

“We’ve always had the aspiration to create a venue that hosts a breadth of creative new brands as well as,” says JKS Restaurants CEO Jyotin Sethi. “Arcade Food Hall is the perfect space for us to do this, both with the physical site and through London’s first digital food hall.”

Arcade Food Theatre was launched in 2019 next to Tottenham Court Road Station within the ground floor of the Centre Point building, and features seven kitchens and open plan seating.

Its original line-up included steak brand Flat Iron’s Workshop concept, a spin-off from piri-piri chicken specialist Casa do Frango, and Ana Gonçalves and Zijun Meng's katsu sando-focused Tóu.
