Tapas Brindisa Richmond will open in the south west London town in October, bringing Brindisa’s portfolio of tapas restaurants to six.
Located on the banks of the River Thames, the restaurant will have 150 covers inside as well as a private Bodega Room with space for an additional 60 seats on its terrace. It will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a menu created for Richmond that will feature many of Brindisa’s classics dishes. It will also serve a Spanish-style Sunday feasting menu and have an extended bar menu for its Spanish ‘pub-style’ drinking area.
The Bodega Room will house a range of Spanish cheeses, Ibérico hams and single-estate rare wines will fill the room with diners able to book it for tastings and private dining.
“As a super keen outdoorsy Londoner, I am thrilled to be able to bring Brindisa to one of the most enjoyable and picturesque areas of the River Thames and Richmond,” says co-founder Monika Linton. “River walks, park walks, island walks can be enjoyed any time of year, before and after some delicious Spanish dishes at this beautifully positioned site.”
The restaurant’s interiors will include bright handmade tiling, pastel colours and a focus on upcyled materials with the main dining room featuring booth seating as well as an open kitchen with counter seating.
“After our successful riverside venture at Brindisa Battersea Power Station, we have for a while set our eyes on another riverside eatery. Whilst the hospitality industry remains challenging, this Richmond site offers our estate a great opportunity to continue our timely well-paced growth and provides another solid step forward for our talented teams and leaders,” says co-founder Ratnesh Bagdai.
“Being familiar with the area I am very excited to operate in Richmond and to offer the neighbourhood an all-day, any-day premium casual offer to capture the essence of what the industry is all about - enjoyment and socialising whenever and how often you like.”
