Yard Sale Pizza heads to Crystal Palace for eighth London site
Opening in August, the group's eighth location will offer delivery and collection, along with an area for dine-in that will launch at a later date.
To celebrate the opening, Yard Sale Pizza will be offering one street within the shops’ delivery radius a chance to win pizza for the entire street.
Local residents will need to nominate their street via an online form and the street with the most nominations will win.
Yard Sale serves an eclectic menu of New York-inspired pizzas made using a 48-72 hour slow-fermented dough.
Signature pizzas include the ‘Holy Pepperoni’ topped with smoked Gyula pepperoni, regular pepperoni and ndjua; the ‘TSB’, topped with tenderstem broccoli, pine nuts, garlic oil and parmesan; and cheesy garlic bread topped with marmite.
Yard Sale was launched in Clapton in 2014 by Jonnie Tate, Dan Spinney and Nick Buckland.
Until last year, the group had primarily focused on growing its estate north of river. However, it has now begun focusing on developing its south London portfolio, with the opening in Crystal Palace following recent launches in Balham and Dulwich.
Yard Sale is notable for being one of the few hospitality businesses to have continued operating throughout the pandemic, offing delivery during all three lockdowns through its own fleet of drivers and cyclists. According to the group, it has delivered just under a half a million pizzas across London in the last year.
