Honi Poke continues expansion drive with new venues planned
The new openings will bring the Hawaiian food brand’s portfolio to 14 restaurants, which include recent openings of a delivery-only site in Manchester, as well as venues in Fulham and Westfield Stratford.
The expansion plans are coupled with the launch of Honi’s delivery-only sushi brand Honi Sushi, which now has five locations across London.
Honi Poke was founded by Vladimir Martynov and Kosta Varesko in 2017 and was one of the first London-based poke brands to expand nationwide when it opened in Manchester this month. The company aims to have a site in every major UK city by 2023.
Last month it was announced that Honi Poke would be among four new food and drink venues at London’s Broadgate.
Honi Poke’s expansion is part of wider movement in the burgeoning poke sector. In May Hero Brands-backed Island Poké signed up its first two UK franchise partners as part of its plans to treble its estate in the UK over the next five years.
Italian poke chain Poke House, meanwhile, has made its debut in the capital following the acquisition of UK poke brand Ahi Poké.
Its first venue in Notting Hill opened in June with the company planning to open six more venues in the capital by the end of Summer and 13 more across the country’s major cities.
