San Carlo is to open another restaurant under its Cicchetti brand, in London’s Knightsbridge later this year.

San Carlo Cicchetti will be a two-storey restaurant located adjacent to department store Harrods on Hans Road. The restaurant will focus on cicchetti dishes with most of the ingredients sourced directly from producers in Italy.

The restaurant will be located near to San Carlo’s Signor Sassi restaurant, which has been part of Knightsbridge’s dining scene since it opened in 1982.

“We’re excited to bring San Carlo Cicchetti, our successful Italian dining concept to Knightsbridge, a location we know well and enjoy as it’s home to our Signor Sassi restaurant - a bit of a legend when it comes to Italian dining in London,”  says managing director Marcello Distefano.

“Our existing Cicchetti restaurants in Piccadilly and Covent Garden continue to flourish and this superb location feels like a natural fit for us. We can’t wait to open towards the end of the year.”

As well as its London venues, San Carlo operates a Cicchetti restaurant in Manchester and also overseas in Doha, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. The group is also behind Alto by San Carlo restaurant on the rooftop at Selfridges in London and Fumo restaurant on London’s St Martin’s Lane.

The group will also open a new concept Italian brasserie Isola by San Carlo at St Christopher’s Place in London next month. The opening o the 220-cover brasserie and bar is one of three new launches planned by the company thjis year.
