Crust Bros pizza to double up in London
Crust Bros has chosen Sambrook’s Brewery Tap, part of the Ram Quarter development in Wandsworth, for its second London location.

Expected to open on 17 July, the new site follows the success of founder Joe Moore’s first bricks-and-mortar pizza restaurant, which launched in Waterloo in 2017.

Crust Bros will be the sole food supplier at Sambrook’s Brewery Tap at Ram Quarter, the new South London retail and residential destination by Greenland Group.

Sambrook’s moved its headquarters and brewing operations to the historic Wandsworth site earlier this year, which was once home to Young’s and, having been established in 1533, remains the longest continually-running brewery in Britain.

Crust Bros will serve the expansive, 160-cover taproom with a concise menu of their signature pizzas to be paired alongside beers from craft beer specialists, Sambrook’s.

There is also a large outdoor area with 50 covers, and a private events space that seats 40, with the venue reserved largely for walk-ins.

Crust Bros says it is committed to creating some of London’s best, most consistent bases made entirely from scratch using 00 flour, fresh yeast and a 48 hour-proved dough for pizzas characterised by their ‘pillowy-soft, leopard print-charred, big crusts’.

Crust Bros was born in 2016 and is the brainchild of Joe Moore, a self-proclaimed ‘dough geek’, who quit his grad scheme job to search for the perfect pizza. A six-week tour of Italy cemented this passion and gave him the tools and necessary precision to make ‘some of London’s best pizza’.
