Glenapp Castle in Ayrshire, Scotland, has appointed Joe Gould as its new executive chef.

The former head chef at Fishmore Hall Hotel & Spa will oversee the food at the soon-to-launch Azalea Glasshouse Restaurant and events space, which will be located in the Castle’s picturesque walled garden.

The hotel is also opening The Endeavour, a new penthouse castle apartment. The four-bedroomed apartment has its own kitchen and private dining room for up to 16 guests and is able to be offered on an exclusive and private basis with a full butler service and private chef.

Gould’s CV includes Joe Dorchester Collection’s Coworth Park, Lainston House, Newick Park Country House Hotel and Bailiffscourt Hotel & Spa. He has also worked at Aurora Restaurant, The Pond Restaurant and Rhubarb Food Design.

His past achievements also include winning the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs UK Young Chef of the Year 2015.

‘’We are absolutely delighted that Joe is going to be joining our team at such an exciting time for Glenapp Castle,” says Glenapp Castle managing director Jill Chalmers.

“We are launching our brand new Azalea Glasshouse Restaurant and Events Space and The Endeavour castle apartment this summer. We are also renowned for offering our Hebridean Sea Safari experience - a very popular activity amongst our guests and one that is so unique.

“We are absolutely confident that Joe will take the hotel and the F&B offering to new heights. We are committed to developing our offering and to growing our already flourishing business’’.
