The Dilly opens in London

Located adjacent to Piccadilly Circus, the recently renovated hotel features 28 suites and 255 rooms, two restaurants, a dedicated bar area, and an in-house dance studio.

The property, which dates back to 1908, is owned by Archer Hotel Capital, which made the decision to operate The Dilly as an independent hotel when the management contract with Marriott International expired.

Axiom Hospitality will manage The Dilly on behalf of Archer.

“We’re very proud of our history and want our guests to see us mixing our building’s traditions with modern demand – The Dilly is now an up-to-date hotel with spacious rooms and five-star hospitality,” says James Olivier, The Dilly general manager. 

The Dilly's food and beverage offering includes The Terrace restaurant, and cocktail bar Downstairs at The Dilly.

Meanwhile, the hotel's Grade II-listed Oak Room, which was once overseen by Marco Pierre White, will now be operated by Indian fine-dining restaurant group Madhu’s and offer Punjabi cuisine with a Kenyan twist. 

“We believe The Dilly has the potential to be the place to see and be seen in Piccadilly as it once was," says Alex Pritchard, director of Axiom Hospitality.

"This year has been difficult but has given us an opportunity to re-focus on why this city is one of the greatest in the world to welcome guests back to. There are over a million small businesses in London and sourcing from them is going to be our top priority.

"We want to find those that can give The Dilly a really special, local feel, which we believe is a new concept for London, whether it be with flowers, guest amenities, food or London sourced drinks – we are currently searching and at the same time, we want to encourage these independent entrepreneurs to come and find us too.”
