Well-known Chelsea pub The Cadogan Arms is to relaunch in July with Kitchen Table chef James Knappett overseeing the food.

Dominic Jacobs of The Running Horse Mayfair is spearheading the project as managing director having raised capital from a number of private investors, including Jyotin, Karam and Sunaina Sethi, the founders of JKS Restaurants and backers of Knappett at Kitchen Table.

Overseeing the menu as culinary director, Knappett will draw inspiration from his first-hand experience of growing up in pubs.

He will work alongside executive chef Alex Harper, whose CV includes The Ledbury and The Harwood Arms - to ‘cement the public house’s food offering as one of London’s most celebrated with best-in-class British produce’.

Drinks at The Cadogan Arms will showcase exclusive beers, cask and craft ales alongside an extensive wine list and contemporary cocktails.

“Dating back to the 1700’s, The Cadogan Arms is one of Chelsea’s most enduring public houses’. The team are excited to once again be able to open the doors to the local community and deliver a gold standard public house experience that honours the rich history of the venue,” says Jacobs.

Along with his wife Sandia Chang, Knappett will soon relaunch his two-Michelin-star flagship Kitchen Table as a much larger space having taken over the space that was once home to Champagne and hotdogs concept Bubbledogs.

Both spaces - which launched in 2012  - are undergoing an extensive refurbishment in order to expand and develop the Kitchen Table experience.
