As a brand our goal has and always will be to deliver the best journalism and content possible to inform and support you in driving growth and success for your business. It’s no secret that more than ever before, people want to access news and information online and we believe strongly that it’s time to adapt and invest where required to ensure that absolutely everything we do delivers what you need, when and where you need it the most.
Last year we decided to fully merge the Restaurant magazine brand into BigHospitality and focus on our digital platforms and market leading events portfolio including the Estrella Damm National Restaurant Awards, R200, Generation Next, Hostech, and The Restaurant Show to name a few.
Just as many of you have been readying yourselves for this spring, revamping outdoor spaces, improving systems and finalising menus, we too have been busy working behind the scenes on further changes and are now ready to reveal our new look website with new elements and improved functionality.
The relaunch of BigHospitality reflects our union with Restaurant magazine, bringing the brand, team, style and approach to the site, as well as also delivering targeted content for the other hospitality communities we serve including street food, casual dining, pubs & bars, hotels and chefs.
As you know, relaunches take time and effort so please bear with us today (Monday 26 April) when changes will be being made to our website throughout the day (it may at times look a little unfinished, so please don’t judge it too early on). During this time, we won’t be able to publish any news on the site although we will be posting information across our social pages where possible, but we will be back up as soon as possible doing what we do best.
“With the hospitality sector starting to emerge from lockdown, it’s the perfect time for us to relaunch with a fresh look, bringing all the elements of the sector together in an easy to use format,” says BigHospitality editor Stefan Chomka.
“The past year has been incredibly challenging for the whole industry and like many of you, we have taken this time to reflect, evaluate, challenge ourselves and prepare for the future. I hope you like the new look BigHospitality.”
We have also launched a dedicated monthly Restaurant newsletter, which you can register for here, that will include online features and the in-depth profiles, long reads, and analysis for which the magazine was known plus videos and podcasts. We will be also be launching other targeted newsletters and bringing further developments to the site in the coming months, so watch this space.
As the industry starts to reopen its doors and begins its recovery, we join you in taking the first steps into this new era and look forward to taking the journey with you.
