Pasta Remoli founder Simone Remoli is opening a grab & go format of his pasta brand next month, which is promised to be the first of many for high footfall locations.

Called Remoli, it will launch in London’s St Pancras International on 26 April 26.

The 239 sq ft site will serve handmade pasta made daily and prepared to order once a customer has chosen their sauce and cheese topping. Options will include tagliatelle, spaghetti, fusilli and maccheroncini with sauces such as cacio e pepe, bolognese, arrabbiata and creamy mushroom. Gnocchi and ravioli dishes also available.

Pasta will be available in two portion sizes: regular, starting at £5.80 and large from £6.80.

In addition, Remoli will serve a selection of pastries supplied directly from Rome including vegan cornetti with raspberry and sambuco; tiramisu; Italian bread; and Sipful canned cocktails.

“We are right next to the Eurostar so we will be catering for those passengers who want something a bit more special than just a sandwich on their journey, but our ambition is also to be the go-to place for anyone travelling through the station whether they’re going on a break or simply going to work,” says Remoli.

“We want to build a community with our local customers as well as those working within the station, the hotels around here and, of course, the offices.”

The chef owner says his focus is on developing the Remoli brand as an accessible grab and go concept in busy locations. “I am delighted to see pasta becoming such a core part of the London diet, and I believe that my personal recipe, drawn from years of experience, dedication and family memories cooking at home with Mama, can play a major role in this city’s love of authentic Italian food."

The launch follows a positive year for the fresh pasta concept, which was founded in 2011 in Westfield Stratford, with the brand pivoting to delivery and meal kits during the pandemic via its restaurants in Stratford, Ealing Broadway, Wembley Park and Finsbury Park.
