BrewDog’s first hotel in England will open in mid June in Manchester having been granted planning approval by Manchester City Council.

The 18-bedroom hotel, called Doghouse Manchester, will be set over three floors and will be located in Bruntwood Works’ new Bloc development on Manchester’s Fountain Street.

It will have a 3,512sq ft bar and a restaurant with a large outdoor terrace and have an ‘industrial-style interior design’ throughout.

Details of the hotel were first revealed in November last year.

Rooms will be furnished with shower beer fridges, draft beer taps and room service including food and drinks from the restaurant and bar. At reception, guests will receive a welcome beer on arrival from one of the 28 beers on tap.

It will also have a rooftop terrace with a bespoke bar that will serve a menu of beers and tacos.

The hotel will be located alongside an independent coffee shop, a cinema room, bespoke spaces for community pop-up events at the Bloc development, which will open in the spring.

“We are very excited to open our first UK hotel in Manchester, a city we have loved operating in for over 10 years,” says BrewDog head of bars James Brown.

Doghouse will be the Scottish brewers third Manchester site and follows the brand’s other sites around the world including DogHouse Columbus, and the BrewDog Kennels in Aberdeen.
