The Michelin-starred Blandford Street restaurant has remained closed since the initial lockdown was implemented in March.
There are plans in the pipeline to reopen Roganic in London next year, at an alternative location, when Rogan and his team have a ‘clearer vision of the post-pandemic landscape’.
When lockdown was lifted in July, Rogan says he chose to place his focus on reopening his chef's table concept Aulis in Soho and his Lake District operations alongside establishing a nationwide delivery offering, Simon Rogan at Home.
Rogan had been in discussions to relocate Roganic to a new London location but plans were put on hold as a result of the pandemic.
Rogan launched Roganic in 2017 following the success of a 2011 pop-up of the same name.
It served a ‘forward-thinking and imaginative menu’ using produce from the chef’s farm in The Lake District and was an early proponent of relatively short and affordable tasting menus.
Rogan launched a Roganic outpost in Hong Kong in 2019, attracting a Michelin star less than one year later.
