The restaurant and bar will open in January and is located within Kingsland Locke, the most recent site from the aparthotel brand Locke.
Set across two floors, the site will feature a ground floor bar, specialising in fresh beer as well as gin.
Both will be produced at an onsite microbrewery and distillery which will be visible through the glass wall of the restaurant on the floor below.
Le Bab - which runs two kebab-focused restaurants in central London - will serve slider-sized kebabs on fresh sourdough flatbreads from the restaurant. These include its pork shwarma, lamb madras adana and a paneer kebab. It will also serve a range of snacks.
The restaurant and bar’s mantra is, ‘to be the most sustainable and ethical we can be’.
Beers include German Pilsner, Smoked Beer and Festbier and will change seasonally while the G&T menu includes the Clella (Jim & Tonic’s Mercato Mediterranean Gin, served with Indian tonic, orange and rosemary); and Ruby (Roobee’ Rhubarb Gin, served with elderflower tonic, raspberry and basil).
Le Bab was founded in 2016 by Stephen Tozer, Ed Brunet and Manu Canales in Soho's Kingly Court. The trio also run tasting menu-only counter restaurant Kebab Queen.
