Ramsay lines up further London openings
As reported by the Evening Standard, the chef is set to add a fourth Street Pizza site to his portfolio later this month, opening at the Battersea Power Station development.
Two more Street Burger sites are also scheduled to launch in the new year, on Charing Cross Road and Kensington High Street.
It comes after Ramsay launched three new London restaurants in as many days last week following the lifting of England's national lockdown.
They included the chef's first ever Street Burger restaurant, which launched at One New Change in the City of London; the UK debut of his US-founded premium burger brand Gordon Ramsay Burger, in Harrods; and the opening of his third Street Pizza location, in Southwark.
It was reported back in the summer that Ramsay's ambition to 'create a billion-dollar dining proposition' had been undented by the Covid-19 pandemic, with the chef laying out plans to open 50 new UK sites.
The chef's current UK portfolio is concentrated in the capital, and also includes a number of singular, high-end restaurants such as the three Michelin-starred fine-dining flagship Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in Chelsea; Petrus in Belgravia; and Lucky Cat in Mayfair.
“I have never been prouder of the hospitality industry than I am right now," Ramsay told the Evening Standard.
"The challenges we are facing are very real and yet we are united in keeping our kitchens open, our teams working, and our guests looked after.
“Despite these challenges I have to believe in supporting growth, to creating jobs and opportunities and more importantly, opening really great places for people to eat out and have fun."
