Online restaurant delivery concept Virtual de Lux launches in London
Virtual de Lux will encompass five virtual restaurants of five different cuisines that will operate out of kitchens located in Knightsbridge and Marylebone.
It is being launched by Billionaire Life, the luxury dining and entertainment group founded in Italy in 1998 by F1 legend Flavio Briatore.
The restaurant brands are Manhattan Kitchen, Bacàn, The Forgotten Vegetable, and The Noble Tsar with caviar concept Volzhenka Caviar due to launch later in the year.
Manhattan Kitchen will deliver premium comfort food with dishes to include deep-fried tiger prawns; spicy meatballs with tomato sauce; a Wagyu; a Philly cheesesteak sandwich; and American-style pancakes with meringues and blueberries
Bacàn will serve a Peruvian menu featuring the likes of tuna and yellowtail ceviche; deep-fried cassava chips with spicy avocado sauce; and chargrilled octopus with purple mashed potatoes served with red mole sauce, tarragon and mint pesto.
The Noble Tsar will serve a selection of Russian dishes described as having a ‘contemporary, high-end twist’, such as herring salad; borscht; and meat pierogi.
There will also plant-based concept, called The Forgotten Vegetable, with dishes such as teriyaki roasted aubergine; grilled halloumi; and wild rice with thyme and garlic butternut squash, although there is the option to add chicken.
“With the incredible data of local audience’s culinary preferences through platform algorithms, coupled with a very talented and diverse culinary team, we have been able to develop a range of incredible virtual restaurants catering to the London luxury market,” says Billionaire Life CEO Brian Bendix.
“More than accommodating the London lockdown 2.0, this is also an ambition in testing the Virtual de Lux model for all of our global destinations”.
Later this year, Virtual de Lux will launch Volzhenka Caviar, which will offer tinned caviar alongside blinis and a variety of accompaniments such as sour cream, chives, red onions and chopped boiled eggs.
