Slated to launch in spring 2021, the Design District is made up of 16 individual, architecturally-led buildings created by eight different architects in a one-hectare plot.
Six food operators are required and there will be little to no start-up costs needed with Design District taking 'a reasonable variable percentage of sales'.
Full details about the food setup have yet to be announced, but it looks to be an outdoor space with a large communal seating area that will be serviced by multiple traders at one time.
Successful operators will receive one-on-one coaching and mentoring, maintained equipment and payment systems, with the use of shared production kitchen to service on-site and delivery sales.

“The slick operation will ensure Londoners will be able to enjoy exhilarating flavours, focusing on fresh, handmade food, using quality ingredients to become one of the city’s most celebrated foodie destinations."
The space will ‘emulate that of a European square through a modern lens’, with a blurring of indoors and outdoors, and with ‘a buzz of sociability suited to communal dining, even during unpredictable Covid-19 restrictions’.
Spearheaded by local developers Knight Dragon and offering 134,000 sq ft of workspace, the scheme will bring together creatives from a number of different fields including design, art, tech, food and music.
