East and North London-centric pizza operator Yard Sale has chosen Dulwich for its first location south of the river.

The Lordship Lane site brings Yard Sale - which serves up an eclectic menu of New York-inspired pizzas - up to six locations in total.

The new site will focus on delivery, although there will be a handful of seats inside.

Pizzas on offer will include the New Porker (fresh Sicilian sausage, guindilla chillies, garlic and basil) and the TSB (Tenderstem broccoli, parmesan, pine nuts, garlic and olive oil).

Yard Sale Pizza is well known for its collabs - previous link-ups include Monty's Deli and Mangal 2 - and is planning 'local initiatives' in and around Dulwich.

Yard Sale was launched in Clapton in 2014 by Jonnie Tate, Dan Spinney and Nick Buckland.

Investor Paul Campbell joined Yard Sale Pizza as a non-executive director at the beginning of 2019.

“I cannot tell you how many requests from friends south of the river we have had to open a shop down here. After six years of serving our pizzas to the good folk of north and east London, it feels like a long overdue pursuit to come down south,” says Tate.

“We struck a real affinity to Lordship Lane, with their good cheese shop and cultural hubs, and a great football team in Dulwich Hamlet FC."

"Who knows what is going to happen in the coming months, all we know is that our delivery model is here to supply this winter and into 2021.”
