The bakery and restaurant brand has reopened 15 of its London restaurants and a further one in Oxford following refurbishments that new owner BrunchCo UK says has made them more comfortable and safer, as well as improving their retail offer.
The group has also unveiled an expanded food to go offer as well as a new online ordering platform to make click and collect faster and easier, with make at home kits soon to become part of its offer.
It says it has also improved its organic coffee offer and increased the range of breads it now sells.
“We wanted to create a buzz on our return to baking,” says Whibley, who also co-founded Pinkmans Bakery in Bristol in 2015.
“We also wanted to remind our teams and customers that we are first and foremost a bakery, which also happens to serve fresh, healthy, delicious food and now even better coffee.”
Le Pain Quotidien's UK operation was sold in a pre-pack administration deal to BrunchCo UK in June with 11 of its 26 sites closing permanently.
The brand has also appointed Andrew Tottle, former operations chef at Ole & Steen, as its new head of food and Faye Hance, former head of human resources at Five Guys, as its head of people.
