Despite the event being designed for social distancing within groups of six, the team took the decision to pull the event in order 'to protect the safety of the visitors, participants, and residents of the town'.
A statement from Kerridge and team said: "In the last few days, it has become clear that the national picture is changing dramatically and there are significant new risk factors which aren’t yet clearly understood. Whilst we are really disappointed to take this decision, our priority has always been the safety of all involved and our host town of Marlow.
"We are sorry to disappoint everyone who was planning to attend."
Picnic in the Park was only announced back in the beginning of September, and had been due to take place in Marlow's Higginson Park between Thursday and Sunday this week (24 - 27 September).
The 'mini festival' was set to feature a line-up of live music and comedy, with food served by chefs including Tom Kerridge, Paul Ainsworth and Atul Kochhar.
The team added that they hoped to be able to present the line-up of talent at an alternative event at some point in the future.
"We would like to thank all our amazing customers, our artists, our chefs, and our team, all of whom have supported us this summer," they said.
