London-based chicken business Randy’s Wing Bar has recruited former Bodeans and Belgo chef Richard Coates and hospitality consultant Andrew McHeron as it looks to grow and diversify its business post lockdown.

The group has responded to the pandemic by introducing tech solutions to keep customers and staff safe, rolled out a national meal kit delivery service and will soon reveal an all-new restaurant concept.

Founders Emma Whittaker and Andy Watts have also recruited Deviate Digital CEO Sammy Andrews to oversee all marketing and brand development for the group, which has just launched a delivery-only site in Battersea.

Randy’s Wing Bar was founded in 2013 as a street food concept but now also operates sites in Hackney Wick and Tower Bridge. The latter is yet to open because it has heavily-reliant on office workers.

“We’ve got really big ambitions and that required finding the right people to help us realise them,” Whittaker. “We are delighted to be working with such an incredible team. Their wealth of experience both complements our established brand and allows us to turn our new ideas into reality.”

“Richard’s unrivalled knowledge and exquisite product development made him the perfect fit to help really refine our offerings, we’ve never had such amazing reviews for our food and Andrew has worked tirelessly to transform operations across the group,” adds Watts.

“Sammy has worked with global brands, events and superstars for two decades and her marketing and technology expertise is like nothing the hospitality industry has ever seen.”
