Pub groups launch own discount schemes ahead of next month's Eat Out to Help Out
Stonegate Pub Company has launched its scheme across its entire estate, where food is served, with customers receiving 50% off their bill from Monday to Wednesday anywhere in the UK. The offer is available on food, tea and coffee and, unlike the Government campaign, there is no £10 limit on the offer.
The offer is automatically applied to customers’ bills.
“We’re determined to welcome our customers back and I am excited to launch this campaign two-weeks ahead of the Government’s initiative,” says managing director Helen Charlesworth.
“We are committed to providing the best possible customer experience and this is just the start of many initiatives and campaigns that will be rolled out across Stonegate in the coming weeks and months to benefit our customers.”
Oakman Inns has also introduced a discount ahead of the introduction of the Eat Out to Help Out campaign, which starts on Monday 3 August 3.
In what it describes as an exact copy of the scheme, customers can download their £10 voucher that can be used against food and soft drinks at any Oakman Inn, from their pubs’ websites or via their social media pages.
“Our customers and staff have all been in this horrible mire for over four months now and frankly we thought we all needed a bit of cheering up ahead of August,” says CEO Dermot King.
“So, with prospects of good weather and some lovely pub gardens to visit, this is our way of thanking our friends and loyal regulars for supporting us since we re-opened.
“We were the go-to pub group when the Government needed some input into health and safety measures for a safe re-opening, and we believe we offer a more secure environment than a crowded beach or park. It’s our tenner they’ll be spending - not the taxpayers’ - so here’s their chance to have a guilt-free meal from Monday to Wednesday until the end of July - day or night – at our expense.”
