Brent Council approves plans to extend Wembley Park's alfresco dining space

The decision will mean the retail and leisure development's al fresco dining space will be more than double its usual size for the duration of the summer.

Quintain has announced it plans to reopen the Wembley Park dining offer from 4 July, in keeping with yesterday’s (23 June) new Government guidelines​​.

Working closely with Brent Council and its food and beverage tenants, the developer has agreed a strategy to create an alfresco dining destination across the largely pedestrianised 85-acre estate.

Additionally, bench seating will be installed to allow visitors to enjoy socially distanced takeaways from many of the food and beverage operators, while operators including Boxpark, Bread Ahead and Black Sheep Coffee will expand their outdoor seating provision. 

“After three months of closure, this is an incredibly important time for our restaurants, as well as our local community," says Matt Slade, retail director at Quintain.

"We are committed to providing a full-range of community services in addition to a world-class retail, dining and leisure offer. This commitment is reflected in our work with Brent Council to more than double the provision of outdoor dining across the estate.
