Delivery is now available from the group’s Shoreditch, King's Cross and Kensington restaurants between 11:30am – 10:30pm every day, with orders being fulfilled by Deliveroo.
Dishes on its takeaway menu include vegetable samosas; keema pau; chilli chicken; house black daal; and its chicken berry Britani and jackfruit biryanis as well as naan breads and rice.
Customers are also able to purchase Dishoom’s beers as well as a selection of wines from its list and its ‘Slip-Disc’ CD or Vinyl album of music.
Dishoom had offered delivery and takeaway after the Government-enforced lockdown closed its restaurants in March but stopped the service after just a week deciding that the time was not yet right to do it properly.
“After a whirlwind weekend satisfying our guests’ Dishoom needs from afar, things have changed again,” owners Shamil and Kavi Thakrar said back in March. “We looked at the world around us and at our wonderful team, and felt that we needed to do more.
“So, we arrived at the decision to halt all collection and delivery from our restaurants, in order to send our team home to stay safe and well with their loved ones.”
As talk of the easing of lockdown intensifies and in line with many other restaurant businesses, the company is now taking small steps to restart its operations, offering takeaway being the first step.
