Contract caterer Genuine Dining Co has announced the launch of its own delivery service aimed at offices in the capital that do not have in-house catering facilities.

Called Genuine Delivery, the concept will serve a daily-changing range of grab-and-go items including freshly made sandwiches; boxed salads; and dessert pots.

A daily selection of hot meal options will also be available, with customers able to pre-order what they want each day via phone or using the Genuine Delivery app.

Meals will be delivered to the respective office via contactless drop-off at an agreed point and time.

Genuine says the concept is designed to help minimise the need for employees to leave the office during their lunch break while the Coronavirus pandemic continues to exist.

The idea is that when employees do have to go back to working in the office, having the Genuine Delivery service will act as a safety net to offer businesses that do not have the facility to host a normal contract catering offer.

All food will be prepared at the company's central production kitchen in Camberwell, with the menu driven by The Genuine Dining Co's executive chef Nina Mash.

She will be working Stuart Dring, executive chef at event catering company The Admirable Crichton, which is owned by Genuine Dining Co.

"We are an agile business with food, people and fun at our core. We have an incredibly close knit and loyal workforce, loyal to their site-based clients but also loyal to the Genuine family," says Genuine Dining Co director Chris Mitchell.

"When we told them about this new venture, they all offered to do whatever they can to get involved – cooking, packing, delivery.”
