Operating out of the old Monty’s Deli site in London's Hoxton and designed as 'an immersive restaurant experience for the home', Hot 4 U features a weekly changing, five-course set menu of 'playful' dishes that are available for both collection and delivery within the M25.
The concept is described as being a reflection of Scott and Tejada's passion for sustainability and high-grade produce, combined with a casual and accessible approach.
Menus will draw from a range of global inspirations, with a focus on nose-to-tail eating.
Dishes that have featured so far include tête de cochon with rosehips and tamarind; and rabbit, glazed in fig leaf and Szechuan daikon, with a milk bun.
“We started Hot 4 U during lock down as a means to relieve our itch," says Scott.
"We as cooks find it difficult to stay in one place. we had never cooked together and fell into an immediate synergetic relationship during the thought process that very naturally carried over into our cooking. It’s amazing to have the old Monty’s site as it separates our project from home and allows us somewhere to rest at the end of the week.
"There’s something nice about adding life and purpose into an empty space again too.”
Currently available on Fridays and Saturdays in a limited amount, the set menu costs £35 per person and includes some dishes that are ready to eat, and others that need to be finished at home.
As well as the set menu, Hot 4 U is also operating a mini-mart selling groceries such as in-house fermented Estate Dairy cream butter; kimchi; sustainably-grown vegetables; and Cacklebean eggs.
