Adam Handling launches London-based food delivery service
Named ‘Hame’ - the Scottish word for home - the service features a number of dishes that would usually be served at Handling’s London restaurants The Frog Hoxton, Frog by Adam Handling, and Adam Handling Chelsea, all of which are currently closed due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
There are also a selection of dishes that the chef restaurateur has developed whilst cooking at home during lockdown.
Dishes available to order include cheese doughnuts; Nanny Sophie’s fried chicken; whole lobster with carrot and lemongrass; and a sharing plate of beef wellington served with clotted cream mash, spring greens, and roast carrots.
The majority of dishes range from £20 to £40 in price, with larger sharing meals costing between £75 and £150. All food will arrive fully prepared, with guides on how to cook and plate each dish.
“I've been asked on countless occasions to launch a food delivery service, and I've replied in the same way every time, 'I would honestly love to but my food just won't travel well',” says Handling.
“So, we’ve come up with a way that I think is going to work perfectly.”
To make the process as simple as possible, Handling says all of the food preparation will already have been done.
Customers will need to scan the QR code on the recipe card to see a video of Handling demonstrating how to cook all the prepared components, and put the finishing touches to each dish.
