High-end restaurant group D&D London has launched an online platform to provide support and guidance for its 2000 employees while the Coronavirus crisis is ongoing.

D&D Connect will allow employees to access a ‘centralised virtual destination’ where they can keep updated on the ever-changing situation.

It will host a number of resources to help employees navigate the crisis, including Q&A’s relating to the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme; volunteering opportunities; business updates from founders Des Gunewardena and David Loewi; and emotional support via an Employee Assistance program.

There will also be cooking lessons provided by the group’s chefs; and isolation fitness videos from one of D&D’s general managers.

Currently available to D&D’s UK staff, the group plans to expand the platform globally, beginning with New York, followed by Paris.

"We want to help our D&D London colleagues every step of the way,” says D&D London’s head of learning and development Adam Harwood.

“This platform provides one place that our teams can rely on to get up to the minute advice to help them in this uncertain and ever-changing period.”

Founded in 2006, D&D London currently owns 43 restaurants worldwide, principally in London, but also with locations in Leeds, Manchester, Paris and New York.
