Restaurants that have closed their sites need to keep in touch with customers if they are to fill tables when they eventually re-open their doors. "Try and stay connected to your supporters and your loyal guests. Remember there are lots of people out there that love your restaurant," says Bell.
"Try and engage with them as much as you can, although don't post endless photos and live cooking demos. Don't overburden people and try and be creative and do something a little bit different.
With many planning where they'll go when the crisis is over, now is a good time to reach out to people. "Don't go silent. You can't suddenly go on Instagram and post a picture saying your open and expect people to go along with it."
"We've never seen a situation when all restaurants reopen at the same time. We don't know what that's going to look like, but there will definitely be a lot of noise out there. Getting through all that to reach people is going to be a big challenge."
