The annual survey sees staff rank their employers on factors such as leadership, wellbeing, and pay and benefits.
The highest hospitality operator on the ‘mid-sized’ list, which covers companies with at least 250 full-time employees, was the Landmark London Hotel Marylebone in fourth place.
Other notable entrants include MOD Pizza (18), Dishoom (20), Flat Iron (38), Rick Stein Group (55) and Mission Mars, owner of the Rudy’s pizza brand, at (73).
Hawksmoor ranked 46 and is the only company to make the list nine years in a row.
US burger brand Five Guys was the only restaurant operator listed in the 25 Best Big Companies list, coming in at 21. The chain's UK arm is backed by Carphone Warehouse founder Sir Charles Dunstone, who is also behind MOD Pizza.
Hotel giant Marriott International took seventh place on the Big Companies list.
