The YO! To Go range rolled out in January and includes crispy salmon and teriyaki chicken rolls; vegan sushi; and salmon poke.
It is not the first retail partnership for YO!, which is on track to introduce manned sushi counters in to 50 Tesco stores nationwide.
A range of branded sauces, seasonings and marinades are also stocked in selected supermarkets.
YO! CEO Richard Hodgson says: “Developing our YO! To Go range has been an integral part of our multi-brand, multi-offer approach. Working closely with Sainsbury’s has been essential to progressing this, utilising the combined knowledge of both companies."
YO! has sought to diversify its portfolio away from conveyor-belt restaurants in recent years, dropping the ‘sushi’ moniker from its name and expanding in to retail.
It is now one of the largest sushi companies outside Japan following its acquisitions of Canada’s Bento Sushi for £59.2m in 2017, Waitrose supplier Taiko Foods in 2018 and merger with US sushi kiosk business Snowfox this year.
