Silo and Amass to collaborate at inaugural Bigfoot festival

Silo chef Douglas McMaster, Two Lights’ Chase Lovecky and Matt Orlando from Copenhagen restaurant Amass have been announced as the culinary headliners for Bigfoot, a UK food and drink-focused music festival that makes its debut this summer.

The trio will create a ‘blackout dining’ concept at the Warwickshire festival, cooking a vegetarian banquet using no gas or electricity.

Other restaurants to cater for the three-day festival - which is making as much noise about its food and drink offering as its live music acts - include 10 Greek Street, Patty & Bun and Club Mexicana.

The Ragley Hall-based festival is the brainchild of Daniel Sylvester and Greg Wells, co-founders of We Are Beer, and follows the success of their London, Bristol and Edinburgh Craft Beer Festivals.

The pair will also bring together 50 of Europe’s top craft brewers, including Verdant Brewery, Church Farm and Northern Monk, and Danish microbrewery To Øl.

Musical acts include Fat White Family, Little Dragon, Hot Chip Megamix, George Fitzgerald and Erol Alkan.

“Bigfoot is our ideal version of a modern lifestyle festival. We’ve designed this from the ground up to showcase the incredibly dynamic culture around craft beer, cutting-edge food and great music,” says Wells.
