Boparan Restaurant Group CEO to step down
During his tenure Crowley oversaw a slimming down of the company’s estate, including the sale of fish and chip chain Harry Ramsden’s to Deep Blue Restaurants in 2019.
Boparan also closed 27 sites under its Giraffe and Ed’s Easy Diner brands after entering a Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA) last year.
Satnam Leihal is to head up Boparan as managing director. He has worked at the company since 2017 and has a background in the retail and food industry.
Boparan said in a statement: “The company is in good shape and set for 2020, so now is the right time for Tom to move onto his next challenge.
“Tom is leaving in place a fantastic team, who will continue to drive the business forward and we wish him the very best in his next role.”
Boparan also owns the Fishworks restaurant group and runs the UK franchise of fried chicken chain Slim Chickens.
