Crussh extends retail range to 300 supermarkets
Juice bar brand Crussh is to extend its retail range in to over 300 Sainsbury’s stores from this week.

It follows a successful trial of the healthy eating chain’s wraps and salads in 61 London supermarkets last year.

Crussh says the rollout is part of an ongoing strategy to expand in to areas ‘outside of traditional high street stores’.

The group opened a concessions site in Sainsbury’s Pimlico in June 2017, selling its ‘fit food’ as well as juices and coffee.

Crussh was founded in 1998 and now trades from 35 stores across London and the south east.

A growing number of restaurant brands are expanding in to retail amid tough trading on the high street. Wahaca, Wasabi, YO! and Leon have all launched branded products in to supermarkets in the last four years.

One of the most successful ranges is from PizzaExpress, which sold over 32m pizzas through its chilled and frozen lines in the UK and Ireland in 2018.

Not all restaurant chains have found similar success, Bella Italia launched a selection of frozen ready meals in partnership with Tesco in 2018, but the range has since been dropped by the store.
