Pizza Pilgrims is to open its next London location on Victoria’s Buckingham Palace Road in January.

Positioned as the group’s new flagship site, the restaurant will be inspired by founders James and Thom Elliot’s first travels to Italy.

It will feature a ‘visual representation’ of the Italian pilgrimage that sparked the brothers’ idea for the brand, and be split across four ‘stylised’ areas.

Each area will reflect a different region of Italy, with Naples, Amalfi, Tuscany and Bologna all represented.

The Amalfi Room will consist of a bar area serving a selection of Limoncello cocktails, as well as the brothers’ take on the Negroni where the gin will be switched for Bourbon and topped with caramelised pepperoni.

There will also be a Tuscan Wine Room that will also double as a private dining area, while the main restaurant will continue to focus serving traditional Neapolitan pizza.

Pizza Pilgrims started out life as a street food operation, before launching its first bricks and mortar restaurant in Soho’s Dean Street in 2013.

It currently operates 10 sites across London, with one further location in Oxford.

Earlier this year, James and Thom said they were also considering launching a pizza academy for their staff, which will also contain a delivery kitchen and a small training restaurant.
