Two of the founders of the Burger & Lobster restaurant group have launched a Mediterranean concept in London.

George Bukhov-Weinstein and Ilya Demichev are behind Wild Tavern, which opened on Chelsea’s Elystan Street earlier this month.

The restaurant has been inspired by coastal areas of Italy, Spain and France, and serves up charcoal-grilled dishes using local and Mediterranean produce.

The 3,600 sq ft site features a central fireplace, open kitchen and dedicated wine room.

“We love Chelsea and are excited to become a part of its local community,” says Bukhov-Weinstein.

“It’s a great property full of natural light and we believe it will become a new locals’ favourite.”

Property firm Shelley Sandzer acted for the landlord in the deal.
