Burger brand Boom Bap Burger is to open its first bricks and mortar restaurant in Bethnal Green next month.

The former Resident of Paradise Row site, secured by Restaurant Property, will be 1,300sq ft site and have space for around 70 covers.

It will serve a range of burgers made using grass-fed Scottish beef that’s aged on the bone for 28 days; as well as a selection of sides and ‘speciality’ cocktails.

In keeping with the brand’s “Flippin’ Meats, Droppin’ Beats” tagline, the restaurant will also feature a playlist that mixes hip hop, soul and funk.

Burger options on the menu include The Notorious P.I.G, a beef patty topped with slow-cooked pulled pork, streaky bacon, double cheese and house sauce; and a ‘better than a Big Mac’ veggie burger with portobello mushroom, sun dried tomato, grilled halloumi, fresh tomato, lettuce, onion, pickles and house sauce.

Boom Bap Burger opened its first London location in Tooting Market back in 2015, which continues to operate.

“We had our eye on this spot for a while,” says Brendan Sharkey, director of operations at Boom Bap Burger.

“We love the area; it’s vibrant, with a great neighbourhood feel.

“We’re looking to carry on serving up our signature cocktails and burgers all to the backdrop of our sound track.

“It’ll be a little more grown up, but not too much; we’re as much about the meats as we are about the beats.”
