We round up some of the top hospitality stories you might have missed this week

- Richard Caring has sold a 25% share of his hospitality empire​ Caprice Holdings to the former prime minister of Qatar, Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani, for £200m. The deal could help fund further expansion of the business, which includes The Ivy and Sexy Fish restaurants.

- The British boss of McDonald's has been fired​ after he had a consensual relationship with a colleague. Steve Easterbrook, who took over as CEO in 2015, admitted his actions had been in 'poor judgement'.

- Steakhouse chain Gaucho has unveiled its future vision for the business,​ including changes to the restaurant design, introduction of a Beef Bar, and cinema screen. The debut 'Gaucho 2.0' will be its original UK restaurant in Mayfair, which relaunches on 9 December before changes are rolled out across the group.

- Aktar Islam, chef director at Michelin-starred Birmingham restaurant Opheem, is joining forces with the team behind Craft Dining Rooms to open a new restaurant and garden terrace in the city.

- The brothers behind The Marram Grass in Anglesey will name their upcoming Liverpool restaurant​ Lerpwl, the Welsh name for the city. Ellis and Liam Barrie will open the site in Albert Dock early next year.
