Market Halls' upcoming West End venue will feature a new concept from chef Angelo Sato, and a third site for Alex Peffly and Z He’s Chinese crépe brand Pleasant Lady.

The full list of operators taking up residence in Market Halls’ flagship food hall, which opens early next month, has been confirmed.

Former Restaurant Story head chef Sato is to launch Japanese concept Yatai, which will serve a menu featuring katsu-inspired dishes including katsu sandos and katsu curry.

The sando has become an Insta-phenomenon in the capital thanks in part to TOU, the latest concept from TaTa Eatery founders Ana Gonçalves and Zijun Meng, which launched at Arcade Food Theatre earlier this year.

Peffly and He’s decision to open a new Pleasant Lady location comes just a few months after they converted their original Bun House site in Soho into Wun's Tea Room & Bar; the pair having relocated Bun House to Lisle Street in Chinatown back in February.

Earlier this week Time Out reported that the Market Halls West End roster will include a second site for Roti King’s Malaysian-focused Gopal’s Corner brand; Breddo Tacos offshoot Super Tacos; and Good Bird, a new rotisserie chicken concept from chef Tom Griffiths’ Flank.

It will also feature smoked meats chain Hotbox; New York-style pizza brand Paradise Slice; dim sum specialist Baozilnn; and another site for Stevie Parle’s Pastaio, which is also set to launch a restaurant in Westfield London next month.

The 35,000sq ft site will be housed in the former BHS building near Oxford Circus and will be the largest food hall in the country, according to the group.

Spread over three floors with seating for more than 900 covers, it will house 11 traders in total and four bars. There will also be a terrace with a retractable roof.
