The first round of operators set to take up residence in Market Halls' upcoming flagship West End venue, which is set to open early next month, has been announced.

Time Out reports that the roster will include a second site for Roti King’s Malaysian-focused Gopal’s Corner brand; Breddo Tacos offshoot Super Tacos; and a new rotisserie chicken concept from chef Tom Griffiths’ Flank.

It will also feature smoked meats chain Hotbox; New York-style pizza brand Paradise Slice; and another site for Sichuanese restaurateur Shao Wei’s Baozilnn, which recently opened a flagship restaurant by Borough Market.

The 37,500sq ft West End site, which will be housed in the former BHS building near Oxford Circus, will be the largest food hall in the country according to the group.

Spread over three floors with seating for 800 covers, it will house 11 traders in total and four bars. There will also be a terrace with a retractable roof.

Another notable operator making its Market Halls debut at the West End site will be Stevie Parle’s Pastaio, which is also set to launch a restaurant in Westfield London next month.

Market Halls launched in 2018 and currently operates two London locations, one in Fulham and another opposite Victoria Station.

Back in July the group also launched an offshoot named The Hall at the intu Lakeside shopping centre in Essex.

A fourth Market Halls site, located within Canary Wharf’s Cargo redevelopment, has already been confirmed by the group with a view to launch in 2021.
