The 4,000sq ft restaurant will feature several counter seating areas, with space for 90 covers.
There will also be a basement with cocktail bar and private dining area for 12 to 16 diners that can be hired as a entire space for private parties.
The menu will include many of the favourites that already feature at Bancone’s flagship site in Covent Garden, such as the silk handkerchiefs with walnut butter and confit egg yolk.
“It’s every restaurateur’s dream to open a restaurant in one of the buzziest areas of London,” says Ellner.
“Our location is next to Golden Square, home to many exciting businesses, and we are a stone’s throw from new, high-end developments in and around Piccadilly Circus too. We cannot wait to bring our beautiful pasta to new audiences.”
The news comes during a period of significant growth in London’s accessibly-priced fresh pasta restaurant market.
At the beginning of the month it was announced that Jordan Frieda and Tim Sidadatan’s popular Padella restaurant is to open a second restaurant early next year on Phipp Street in London’s Shoreditch.
Last week it was also confirmed that Stevie Parle will open a second Pastaio restaurant this November at London’s Westfield White City.
Meanwhile, later this autumn Italian deli and restaurant company Lina Stores will open a new venue – its first to encompass both concepts – in London’s King’s Cross.
