The Rebel Chef: My Restaurant Revolution will follow Usher over a year as he seeks to transform an old Betfred betting shop in a small town close to Liverpool in to a bistro.
The show covers the chef’s bid to crowdfund £50,000 towards the project in just 24 hours, and his attempts to gather local support.
Pinion opened in September 2018 and was the fifth restaurant in the Elite Bistros group.
Usher opened his debut restaurant Sticky Walnut in Chester in 2011 and has since crowdfunded over £400,000 to launch Hispi in Chorlton, Burnt Truffle in Heswall, Wreckfish in Liverpool and Kala in Manchester – which opened in May this year.
The chef has ambitions to launch a seventh site in Leeds this year.
The Rebel Chef: My Restaurant Revolution airs at 10pm on Channel 4.
