Vegan fast food brand Biff’s Kitchen has partnered with pub operator Punch to serve its jackfruit-based ‘junk’ food across the group’s nationwide portfolio.

The deal will see Biff’s crispy jackfruit burger and jackfruit wingz served across Punch’s Champs, Our Local and Our Local Plus sites from September.

Earlier this year Biff’s Kitchen raised a six-figure sum from a private fundraising drive, which has led to the launch of Biff’s foodservice business and the partnership with Punch.

The money is also being used to help broaden Biff’s product offering – with a retail range said to be in development – and grow the Biff’s Jack Shack restaurant brand.

“When we sat down and decided to set about bringing our food to the foodservice market, the on-trade felt a natural fit for our indulgent style,” says Biff’s Kitchen’s commercial director and partner, Andrew Allen.

“As such, having the opportunity to launch with such a respected operator like Punch is incredibly exciting.”

Biff’s was founded by Biff Burrows and Christa Bloom in 2017 ‘as a reaction against the sad, uninspired bean burger options they found in many restaurants’.

Having operated pop up sites with KERB and at Haunt in Stoke Newington, the brand launched its first permanent site at Boxpark Shoreditch in October last year.

It has subsequently opened two more locations at Eat 17 Walthamstow and Eat 17 Homerton respectively.
