Originally from Sweden, Rohlen began his culinary career in 2006, when he started work as a demi chef de partie at steak restaurant Lindgrens Krog in Alingsas, Sweden. He then moved onto Lindelov, a renowned restaurant also in Alingsas, where he was promoted to chef de partie.
In 2007, Rohlen moved to London to work for Irish chef Richard Corrigan’s Michelin-starred restaurant Lindsay House where he worked until the restaurant’s closure in 2009, going on to move over to Corrigan Bentley’s Oyster Bar & Grill in Mayfair as demi chef de partie.
He later moved to Bentley’s sister restaurant Corrigan’s Mayfair where he worked for nearly three years before leaving to join Jason Atherton at his Michelin-starred Mayfair restaurant Pollen Street Social, working his way up from junior sous chef to senior chef.
In 2016, he was promoted within the group to head chef at Social Wine and Tapas, another restaurant in Atherton’s The Social Company, going on to help Atherton launch Jason Atherton’s King’s Social House in St Moritz, Switzerland, in November 2018, where he worked for 6 months until April 2019.
Frenchie opened in Covent Garden on Henrietta Street in 2016 and is currently ranked number 26 in the list of the UK's Top 100 Restaurants.
