We round-up some of the top hospitality stories you might have missed this week.

A chef at Calcot Manor in the Cotswolds has been sacked over accusations of bullying​, after Nathan Davies – who has cooked at Calcot since 2017 – posted pictures on social media of injuries he sustained following an incident in which boiling butter was poured down his trousers. ​​

Sales at The Halal Guys’ first UK site have dropped by 20%​ after it was delisted by UberEats following the delivery platform’s decision to tighten up its food hygiene policy. Having only opened in recent months, the US-founded fast casual chain’s Leicester Square restaurant has yet to receive a food hygiene  inspection from Westminster Council.

Dishoom is to expand its Covent Garden restaurant after securing the lease to the former 150-cover Jamie’s Italian site next door​. The Bombay cafe-inspired group plans to redesign the new space ahead of its 10th​ anniversary celebrations next year.

London fried chicken group Bird has filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators​, with the Evening Standard​​​ reporting that the chain says Metro Bank has withdrawn its overdraft facility ahead of a new restaurant opening last year.

Simon Rogan is checking back in to the hotel business with the opening of Lake District restaurant Henrock at Linthwaite House​ in October. It marks a return to hotel partnerships for Rogan, who left his Michelin-starred Fera restaurant at London's Claridge’s in London in 2017.
