Fish & chips brand Harry Ramsden is to roll out a new menu concept to more than 70 Mecca Bingo outlets across the UK this week.

Proudly Serving Harry Ramsden is described as ‘a new branded proposition for restaurant, pub and catering partners in the UK’, and will feature six dishes from the Harry Ramsden menu.

The concept will be available at the majority of Mecca’s UK locations including Aberdeen and Exeter, with home delivery available in selected areas.

Menu options will include mains of cod and chips with mushy peas and tartare sauce; beef and mushroom pie with mash, mushy peas and gravy; and scampi with chips and tartare sauce.

“Our aim is to make Harry Ramsden’s as accessible to as many people as possible,” says Malcolm Heslop, business development manager for the Harry Ramsden brand, which is owned by the Boparan Restaurant Group (BRG).

“To that end, we’re always looking for new and innovative ways to expand and share our menu with existing and potential diners.”

The chain also opened a pub restaurant concept in Asia earlier this year named The Laughing Fish by Harry Ramsden, which was launched with franchise partner Resorts World Genting Malaysia and serves a ‘classic pub food menu’.

Founded in 1928, Harry Ramsden currently operates more than 30 restaurants across the UK.
