The Covent Garden site was opened on the street of the same name by chef Tom Norrington-Davies in 2007 and won praise for its modern British cooking.
But the restaurant announced its closure in a Twitter post on 28 June, stating that it was with a "heavy heart" that it had to "say goodbye after 12 fantastic years".
No reason has yet been been given for the closure of Great Queen Street, which will run its last service on 12 July.
The restaurant is recommended in the Michelin Guide Great Britain & Ireland 2019, though it does not hold a star or Bib Gourmand, with the inspectors praising its "shared dishes like the suet-crusted steak and ale pie for two".
It is part of the London gastropub group which includes The Anchor and Hope, The Magdalen Arms and the Canton Arms.
Chef and food writer Norrington-Davies previously ran the kitchen at The Eagle gastropub in Farringdon from 1998-2003.
